Desert Botanical Garden and par-tay

How many people do you know who have paid off their house? My friend Judy paid off her house and decided to have a party to celebrate. It was quite a gathering. There was delicious food, libation and karaoke. I followed the music to her house. Abba songs and Donna Summer's "I Will Survive" warmed the group up and soon everyone was swaying and singing to the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. We were treated to the heavenly aroma of orange blossoms as everyone belted out a tune or two - even the guys. Finally a neighbor (three blocks away) complained that they had to get up at 4 am, so fearing the potential embarrassment we turned the music down. And all went home about 8:30 pm. Just kidding.

The Desert Botanical Garden is holding its annual butterfly exposition. We arrived about an hour after they had released a new batch of butterflies. They were everywhere.

The girls stood very still with their pointer fingers extended waiting for a butterfly to land.....

A butterfly did land on a dress - it was very exciting.
