We welcomed darling Cohen into the world in the wee hours of Mother's Day. Sarah and Dave and baby are doing great and it is warming to a mother-in-law's heart to see her new son-in-law be so thoughtful, caring, concerned and involved with his wife and child.
On May 12th at about 4:05 pm (PT) another new baby arrived. This was number 5 for Nellie and Paul, and N was determined to have this child naturally. She stayed home as long as she could and they finally arrived at the hospital at 3:30 pm. Baby was born at 4:05. There was no time for an IV, or even a change of clothes and that little baby arrived. I don't think any of them can believe it is actually a boy. N and P wanted the other children to see the baby so off we went to the hospital. The girls were really excited. We had stopped earlier at a dollar store and the girls purchased special statues and balloons for their mother. They each took a turn holding the baby while the others hopped around the room.
He is a real beauty - and looks like a boy. They had never named a boy and finally decided on Rex Patrick. A strong name. 8.6 lbs., 21 inches

they are beautiful little boys and so lucky to have each other as they navigate life with five older girls-congratulations to the babies, older girls and their parents-and to you the beautiful grandmother be prepared to be hit in the face as you change their diapers
