Baby Boy II

Emotionally exhausting, I tell ya..... it is overwhelming to have so much happen in such a short time. It is going to take me a while to recover, let alone the new moms and dads and babies, and aunts and uncles, and cousins and sisters! It has been an action packed week in my world.

We welcomed darling Cohen into the world in the wee hours of Mother's Day. Sarah and Dave and baby are doing great and it is warming to a mother-in-law's heart to see her new son-in-law be so thoughtful, caring, concerned and involved with his wife and child. On May 12th at about 4:05 pm (PT) another new baby arrived. This was number 5 for Nellie and Paul, and N was determined to have this child naturally. She stayed home as long as she could and they finally arrived at the hospital at 3:30 pm. Baby was born at 4:05. There was no time for an IV, or even a change of clothes and that little baby arrived. I don't think any of them can believe it is actually a boy. N and P wanted the other children to see the baby so off we went to the hospital. The girls were really excited. We had stopped earlier at a dollar store and the girls purchased special statues and balloons for their mother. They each took a turn holding the baby while the others hopped around the room.
He is a real beauty - and looks like a boy. They had never named a boy and finally decided on Rex Patrick. A strong name. 8.6 lbs., 21 inches
Proud Dads and their new baby sons.
