Rain

I love the smell of rain hitting the pavement on a hot summer day.
It is such a delicious smell and takes me back to my childhood.
Running outside on a summer day in a heavy rain,
dancing and jumping and splashing
soaked to the skin.
The rain filling the brick street on Chester
(our street was bricked)
over the curb
barefoot
opening my mouth and letting the rain fall in.

I don't often have the opportunity to enjoy that smell
in Arizona
but here in Killeen
I have had several opportunities to enjoy that smell
and the delicious memories.

I Love a Rainy Night

Well I love a rainy night
I love a rainy night
I love to hear the thunder
Watch the lightning
When it lights up the sky
You know it makes me feel good

Well I love a rainy night
It is such a beautiful sight
I love to feel the rain
On my face
To taste the rain on my lips
In the moonlight shadow

CHORUS:
Showers washed
All my cares away
I would wake up to a sunny day
´Cause I love a rainy night
Yes I love a rainy night
Well I love a rainy night
I love a rainy night

Well I love a rainy night
I love a rainy night
I love to hear the thunder
Watch the lightning
When it lights up the sky
You know it makes me feel good

Well I love a rainy night
It is such a beautiful sight
I love to feel the rain
On my face
To taste the rain on my lips
In the moonlight shadow

Puts a song
In this heart of mine
Puts a smile on my face every time

´Cause I love a rainy night
Yea I love a rainy night
Ooh I love a rainy night
Yea I love a rainy night

CHORUS
